The purpose of the manipulator is to retrieve the switchgear tank from the conveyor line and allow further assembly of the switchgear by manipulating the tank placing it in an ergonomic position for assembly. The manipulator rides on a track attached to the ground, has the ability to rotate around its own axis and to lift and tilt. The manipulator’s gripper is adapted to the size of the switchgear tank; the load is blocked by pneumatic cylinders. Once assembly is complete, the manipulator deposits the switchgear onto the line of conveyors on the opposite side.
