Palletizing and packaging of gutters and downspouts

The workstation consists of two lines for wrapping gutters and downspouts and placing them in racks. Each line performs identical functions and can operate independently of the other. The line starts at the product receiving point from the forming machines and ends at the point where the full rack is received from the chain conveyor.

From the output conveyors of the forming machines, the product is transferred to a buffer table where it is also positioned. Additionally, a seam detection system is used for the pipes. A robot mounted on a pedestal picks up the component from the buffer table and transfers it to the conveyor belt of the packing machine. When handling a pipe, the robot inserts one end into a crimper where it is sealed, then transfers it to the conveyor belt of the packing machine. The product is wrapped in the packing machine and then taken by the roller conveyor with an elevator. On the conveyor, the product is positioned and either grasped by the robot from above or lifted by the elevator and grasped from below. The robot transfers the product to the rack, arranging it according to the implemented template. The racks are transferred to the loading areas on the manufacturer’s dedicated base plates via a transport system consisting of chain conveyors, chain-roller intersections, and roller conveyors. Full racks are transported to the exit.
